You've Got Options
Dental technology is always getting better. You can get the newest orthodontic options at our office to make your new smile fast and affordable.
Orthodontic Treatment Options
Today, there is an orthodontic treatment option for everyone. Whether you're looking for a simple, cost-effective way to straighten your teeth or want a convenient, discreet treatment solution, your Stillwater and Woodbury orthodontists will work closely with you to determine the ideal treatment for your needs and lifestyle. Our orthodontic treatments include:
Traditional metal braces are the oldest treatment in orthodontics, and they're still the most popular treatment we offer.
Made from high-grade stainless steel, metal braces use a series of brackets and wires to move the teeth.
Metal braces are highly effective, reliable, durable, and cost-effective, making them a popular treatment option for patients of all ages.
Clear braces, or ceramic braces, use the same basic treatment mechanism as metal braces, but with brackets made from a clear ceramic composite that blends in with teeth.
This makes clear braces much less noticeable, providing a discreet treatment option that still offers the reliability and durability of traditional braces.
3M™ Clarity™ Aligners
3M Clarity Aligners are a discreet, removable alternative to braces that use a similar clear aligner-based treatment mechanism as Stillwater Invisalign.
Instead of metal brackets and wires, 3M clear braces use a series of clear, removable plastic trays that fit directly onto the dental arch.
3M Clarity aligners are smooth to the touch, virtually invisible when worn, and easy to pop out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing teeth.
Invisalign does away with brackets and wires entirely and instead uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten teeth.
Invisalign aligners lay flat against the teeth, are easy to take out and put back in, and are nearly invisible when worn, making them one of the most convenient and discreet options on the market.
If the upper jaw is too narrow, a palatal expander can be used to help correct it.
This not only better aligns the jaws but can alleviate dental crowding and encourage the normal eruption of permanent teeth.
Temporary Anchorage Devices
Also known as TADS, these devices are used to support your orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Henseler and Dr. Kocian use TADs to achieve specific tooth movement and can eliminate the need for surgical procedures.
Corrective Jaw Surgery
Sometimes bite correction requires more than orthodontic treatment. Orthognathic surgery may be beneficial in cases of severe jaw discrepancies.
Dr. Henseler and Dr. Kocian are each experts in surgical orthodontics and will offer options that best suit your needs.
